Birth place : Puerto Rico
As the leading purveyors of "romantic reggaeton", Zion y Lenox have carved a solid niche for themselves. Leaving the stronger beats to the likes of Nicky Jam and Don Omar, the duo opts for a gentler style, that aims to please and capture the female heart.
In a novel contradiction of styles, Zion does most of the singing while Lenox concentrates on the bulk of the rhymes. This works surprisingly well, as Zion and Lenox voices complement each other to form cohesive and harmonious melodies. Although meant for the dance floor, be advised that the tempo remains at mid pace. Subdued, is the word that will best describe their style.
"Yo Voy" featuring Daddy Yankee, is as catchy as reggaeton gets. With it's uplifting chorus and cool rhyme delivery , the track brings out the best in the duo. Other tracks, like "Perdoname" and "Mirame" are sensuous and inflict the right ballnace of desire and regret.
Softer and gentler than most of their contemporaries, Zion y Lenox are nontheless very good at what they do. This will make a perfect soundtrack for those nights when you feel like staying in.
